The Fish Feed Arrived. The Ponds Are Thriving.

The fish feed purchased from your donations arrived!

The video is two minutes long. Watch it and you’ll see the whole chain, start to finish: the feed bags arriving, the team at the pond’s edge, fresh water pumping in, fish rising to eat.

That’s where your donation went. Not into an account. Into this.

There’s no machinery in this video. No outside contractors. Just the Victoria Community Project team — Mike and the people who work these ponds every week — doing what they’ve always done, now with the feed they needed to keep doing it.

Why this matters

The ponds aren’t just fish. They’re income for families on Rusinga Island, school fees for children in the community, and proof — the kind that’s hard to argue with — that a local, community-run organization can build something that lasts without waiting for someone else to build it for them.

Every bag of feed is one more week the ponds keep growing instead of falling behind.

If you want to keep this going

One-time gifts got the feed bought this round. Monthly gifts are what let the team plan ahead instead of scrambling — no gaps in feeding, no guessing if next month’s bag is covered.

KES 25,200 (about €175) covers a full month of feed for all the ponds. Even a smaller recurring gift adds up faster than it looks.
