Getting to Rusinga Island
For Government Officials and Development Partners: We’re happy to arrange transportation and accommodation for site visits. Rusinga Island is accessible by road and boat from Mbita, with regular connections to Kisumu and Nairobi.
Nearest Airport: Kisumu International Airport (1.5 hours by road)
From Nairobi: 6-7 hours by road, or fly to Kisumu then 1.5 hours by road
Accommodation: Local guesthouses available, or we can recommend options in nearby Mbita
